early college.

Get a jump start on your future.

Take college courses in high school.

In collaboration with CEI, Alturas Preparatory Academy provides students the opportunity to take college-level courses and other advanced opportunities while in high school. College level courses taken by high school students are transcribed on both their high school and college transcripts. The Advanced Opportunities program provides funding to pay for these courses.

  • Dual Credit Courses

Dual Credit courses are taken at Alturas Prep. They are taught by our teachers in partnership with College of Eastern Idaho. We currently offer courses in math, history, and Spanish, with more to come!

  • Concurrent Enrollment Courses

Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to take courses on the CEI campus while enrolled as a student at Alturas Preparatory Academy. Our close proximity to CEI makes it easy and convenient for students to travel between schools.

Advanced Opportunities allow for students to individualize their high school learning plan to get a jump start on their future. These options include dual credit, workforce training, certification exams, and International Baccalaureate programs.

The Advanced Opportunities program can provide funding for students who want to take advanced course work while attending an Idaho public school in grades 7-12.
