Jane Athay is an Idaho Falls native, returning home after graduating from Brigham Young University. She majored in Sociocultural Anthropology, culminating in an Ethnographic Research paper on everyone’s favorite hide-and-seek champion: Bigfoot. Jane loves the outdoors, and recently spent two months hiking across the United Kingdom from hostel to hostel, falling in love with the landscape and history in the process. She’s an avid runner, having run two marathons, and with plans to run more. Jane has a deep interest in folklore, loves her cat, and is currently attempting to teach herself how to play the banjo! It’s not going well. 

Jane is thrilled to join the APA team! She hopes to instill the same love of stories that she has into the students she works with, sharing the power words can have on us.
