“Education breeds confidence. Confidence breeds hope. Hope breeds peace." - Confucius
Julianne Bazzell has a few great loves - her family, mountains, boats, books, and school. She feels very lucky to be able to work at Alturas and help students every day.
Ms. Bazzell grew up in West Valley City, Utah. She moved to Logan, Utah to go to USU, graduating with a BA in English, Literary Studies. She spent her formative early adult years there and Cache Valley will always be the home of her heart. She has lived in Idaho Falls for almost fourteen years now and loves it more every day. She taught high school English for a bit in Logan and then for a time in Glendale, Arizona. She then had children of her own and taught homeschool for some years. In fact, her children complain that they will never have a summer break as long as they live with her, because “living with Mom is like Forever School.” She has no pity for them.
Ms. Bazzell’s love language is understanding and holding space. She highly values making information accessible and clear for everyone, as well as making sure that the people who come into her classroom feel seen and heard. She also is very good at dispensing stern looks and simultaneously grace.
