Justin Wade didn’t take the traditional path into education. School was a challenge early on, andit took the support of a few exceptional teachers to help him find his footing and a real love for learning. He went on to study Communications and Media Arts with dreams of becoming a radio personality, eventually earning a master’s degree in the Teaching Arts with a minor in Counseling services and Ethics. 

Before starting his teaching journey stateside, Mr. Jay wanted to explore the world. What was meant to be a two-year adventure teaching abroad turned into 14 years of international education across China, Albania, Algeria, Montenegro, and more. Eating all the foods and seeing the sites he’d only read about in books. A self-described cultural anthropologist at heart, Mr. Jay brings history to life by blending real-world experience with curiosity, creativity, and compassion. 

When he's not teaching, Mr. Jay enjoys disc golf, organizing local music events, and making short films. He's excited to join the Alturas Preparatory Academy community and looks forward to a meaningful journey ahead.
