Megan Clements

Middle School Language and Literature

Megan Clements grew up in Rigby and lives there with her husband, six kids, a dog who thinks he’s human, a recluse cat, and just enough mayhem to keep life fun. Their days are packed with sports, school events, and the occasional debate over whether Harry Potter should have been a Slytherin. In her spare time, Mrs. Clements loves hiking, coaching sports, reading, and cannot say no to a good adventure (ask her about when she was saved by Harrison Ford).

Mrs. Clements earned her B.S. in English from Idaho State University and has spent the past ten years in the book publishing world as a developmental editor, co-owner of an editing company, and author of two nonfiction books on writing. She also partners with the nonprofit Operation Literacy whose goal is to elevate children's literacy by inspiring a love of reading and providing young writers with the tools they need to tell their own stories.

Mrs. Clements cannot wait to start her new journey in education with some awesome middle school readers and writers. She looks forward to bringing her passion for books and writing into the classroom and helping students at Alturas discover their own voices.
